Privacy Notice

Last updated: 31 August 2026

1. Who we are

EchoFluent ("we", "us") provides a voice-first AI language tutoring service. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at jahongirbusiness07@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect and why

  • Account data (email address, sign-in identifiers, display name, password hash or Google account identifier) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Voice recordings and transcripts — short audio clips of what you say during a practice session are sent to our AI providers to be transcribed and answered, and the conversation transcript is held in memory for the duration of the session so the tutor can follow the conversation. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Learning data (language, level, streak, minutes practised, number of sessions) — to show your progress. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Usage and security data (request timestamps, counts of AI calls, error logs, IP address) — to prevent abuse, apply fair-use limits and keep the service running. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in security and service integrity.
  • Purchase records (which minute pack you bought, amount, currency, transaction identifier) — to credit your account and keep accounting records. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your voice recordings to advertise to you.

3. Who we share data with

  • Merchant of Record — Paddle.com Market Ltd: Paddle is the reseller and merchant of record for all our orders and handles checkout, payments, subscription and billing management, tax compliance, invoicing, refunds and billing-related support. Your payment card details are collected directly by Paddle; we never see or store them.
  • Hosting and database providers: our application hosting and managed database provider stores your account, learning and purchase data.
  • AI processing providers: audio clips and conversation text are sent to our AI model providers to produce transcription, tutor replies and synthesised speech.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where we are required to disclose by law.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

5. Retention

Audio clips are processed to produce a transcript and are not stored by us after the reply is generated. Account, learning and purchase records are kept for as long as your account exists, and purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Email jahongirbusiness07@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage, row-level database access rules so one learner can never read another learner's data, and server-side handling of all AI provider keys — no AI key is ever sent to your browser.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language and level. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear this data at any time in your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We will update this notice when our practices change and will revise the date above.
